The well-known insider Dusk Golem, who previously leaked a lot of correct information on the Resident Evil series, said that a full-fledged nextgen patch for Resident Evil 7, which will be released on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, is in the works.
I know VR was in at some point, I don't know the current status. To do VR they need a consistent performance for motion sickness, I guess to see. There are other things that are 100% happening they for some reason didn't mention here though, like the RE7 Next-Gen patch though. https://t.co/1zNHti0k0x

The insider also stressed that Capcom was definitely planning to develop a version of Resident Evil Village for VR, but at the moment he is not aware of the state of its development. Since VR requires a lot of resources and costs, it can be released later, because all the studio's forces are concentrated on the Village.
Resident Evil 7 is available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The game can also be launched on new consoles, but only through backward compatibility.
