Rumors about the release of a new Switch console have been circulating for a long time, but there has been no confirmation from Nintendo. Yesterday hacker SciresM found data on the next device, codenamed Aula, in the firmware code.
Perhaps this is the company's new console, which will become the Pro versions of Switch.
- Aula will be more powerful than the regular console version
- The device is based on the new Marico SoC chip (it is not yet clear where exactly it is used)
- The console will receive a new docking station and an improved OLED screen
- 4K support will appear
The hacker also found out that the Aula will receive better cooling and a more capacious battery. In addition, information about support for the Realtek chip is mentioned. SciresM believes Aula will become a kind of PS4 Pro.
Analysts believe the Switch will overtake PS5 and Xbox Series X in 2021. This will be related to the marketing and content of the console.
