It seems that in the upcoming horror of Resident Evil Village there will still be multiplayer - the corresponding mention was found on the game page in the unofficial Steam database.
Recall that Capcom did not formally declare any kind of multiplayer component for Resident Evil Village, but information about it leaked to the Network thanks to a hacker attack on a Japanese publishing house.
According to unconfirmed reports, the online mode of Resident Evil Village is an analogue of the so-called battle royale with various characters, skins, boosters and free updates.
The mention on the SteamDB website does not go deeper into such details: according to the entry on the Resident Evil Village page, on January 19 of this year, the game was assigned an unambiguous tag "Multiplayer".
It is worth noting that Capcom is currently recording a closed multiplayer beta test for a still-secret project in the Resident Evil universe.
The Japanese publisher promised to share details about the tests (and certainly the game itself) as part of the Resident Evil Showcase broadcast, which will begin on January 22 at 1:00 Moscow time.
The release of Resident Evil Village is expected this year on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X, while versions for PS4 and Xbox One are still in question. The Resident Evil Showcase will, among other things, host the game's world premiere.
