According to renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple is developing two new MacBook Pro models that should delight veterans dissatisfied with the latest versions of devices. According to him, the new MacBook Pro will have diagonals of 14 and 16 inches. In this case, the design will more closely match the iPhone 12.
It's hard to say what will turn out right now, but the edges will definitely be more angular.
In addition, these models will not feature the Touch Bar; instead, Apple will revert to physical keys. And that's great, because the Touch Bar may and looks like the future, in reality, it is of little use. Apple will revert to using MagSafe, the magnetic power connector. But when you consider that past models have switched to USB-C, it is not yet clear how the new connector will work. Another big plus of the new models is the inclusion of additional ports. On current models, Apple only uses USB-C, which leads to the need to buy an additional unit with ports.
As for the hardware, Apple will equip the new models with its own chips; you shouldn't wait for options with Intel.
The release of the new MacBook Pro should be expected in the third quarter of 2021. The analyst expects that thanks to such a positive upgrade, MacBook sales could grow 25-30% to 20 million.
