Earlier this month, it was reported on the web that Motorola is preparing an affordable 5G smartphone, codenamed Ibiza. Now, a couple of weeks later, the device has been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance, which could indicate its imminent launch.
According to reports, Motorola Ibiza has the model number XT2137. The device will run Android 11 out of the box. The platform of the new smartphone will use the latest 5G chipset for affordable Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 devices, which will work in conjunction with 4 GB of RAM. The smartphone will receive a storage capacity of 128 GB, which is quite a lot for an affordable device.
Motorola Ibiza will feature a 90Hz HD + LCD display. The teardrop notch at the top of the screen houses the 13-megapixel lens of the Samsung ISOCELL S5K3L6 camera. The main triple camera will boast a 48MP main sensor ISOCELL S5KGM1ST, 5MP ISOCELL S5K5E9 sensor with a macro lens, and 2MP OmniVision OV02B1B depth sensor.
The smartphone is credited with a rather capacious 5000 mAh battery. Sources claim that Motorola Ibiza will be officially presented in the first quarter of this year.
