Motorola presents its remote wireless charging technology the same day as Xiaomi
Thanks to the guys from XDA-Developers we have learned that a Motorola manager shared a video today on the Chinese social network Weibo with a demonstration of its remote wireless charging that has been dubbed Motorola One Hyper.
In this video, we can see two smartphones, named Motorola Edge, which is charged at two distances of 80 and 100 cm respectively. We can also see how this charge stops when the Motorola manager puts his hand in front of the device that is responsible for recharging the terminals, something that has probably been implemented for health reasons.
But Motorola has not been the only manufacturer that has presented its proposal in this field today since the Chinese giant Xiaomi has presented its own remote wireless charging called Xiaomi Mi Air Charge with a video demonstration on its official blog.
Everything seems to indicate that this year we will be able to see terminals compatible with this contactless wireless charging, although we must bear in mind that it is a very recent technology and surely it will have to be tested more thoroughly before it can be implemented in a mobile terminal.
