India banned PUBG, and this local clone called FAU-G grows at a record pace

When India banned PUBG Mobile along with a lot of apps and games born in China, surely no one believed that a local clone, called FAU-G, would soon appear and that it is already a smash hit at the rate of 5 million downloads. Daily!

A few months ago the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in India announced the ban of 118 applications developed in China, including Tencent among the suspects prejudice the sovereignty and integrity of India and thus eliminating the Indian market to PUBG Mobile, one of the most successful games of recent times.

Be that as it may, it seems that Indian users haven't had to go too long without a PUBG-like battle royale, a game so addictive that even Tencent has published tools to help disengage, as a Bangalore-based studio, nCore Games, has released a title with a reasonable resemblance called something like FAU-G, for short Fearless and United Guards.

India bans PUBG, soon after a local studio publishes a clone called FAU-G, and wow!

The surprise is not in any case that a PUBG Mobile clone has appeared in India, there are already dozens around the planet, but because it is a title born within a market as wide as India, the game has become one of the biggest recent successes of the Android platform, at least if we look at their growing numbers.

In fact, as reported by 91mobiles these days, it seems that FAU-G was already a media success in India long before its launch, as it had been openly promoted as a local alternative to PUBG Mobile.

With those credentials, success was assured and it is not surprising that on its first day in the Google Play Store FAU-G managed to add more than 5 million unique downloads, with very positive ratings.

Anyway, you have to be cautious with these 4.1 stars out of 5, as they seem quite inflated with respect to what nCore Games offers for now since everything seems to indicate that the development, and especially the committed dates, have been a bit big. to the Indian studio, which has released the game with virtually no content and some incomprehensible bugs.

According to the first ones who have been able to prove it, FAU-G offers at its launch a unique campaign mode that is also very short, only about three hours long, still without weapons, and with limited melee combat of which you can escape by simply walking around the map.

And it is that things are either done well or done quickly and in this case, nCore has prioritized speed by publishing a rather disappointing game. In fact, the Deathmatch, Battle Royale, and 5v5 Teams combat modes are still in development and will arrive later, with no announced timelines.

Thus, FAU-G, the Indian PUBG Mobile, cannot yet be considered a replacement for PUBG, but probably the work of nCore will come to fruition with a positive part that we must highlight, and that is that micropayments within the game do not interfere in the dynamics but only in the cosmetics, being able to advance without problems totally free throughout the campaign ... We will have to keep track of them, but better in a few months!
