GIGABYTE has announced the Aorus Gen4 7000s high-performance Solid State Drives, designed for gaming PCs and powerful workstations.
New items are made in the M.2 2280 format using 3 D TLC NAND flash memory microchips (three bits of information in one cell). The PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface (NVMe 1.4 specification) is used.
The series includes two models - with a capacity of 1 and 2 TB. Both are capable of reading data at speeds up to 7000 MB / s, and writing at speeds up to 5500 and 6850 MB / s, respectively.
The IOPS (input / output operations per second) for random reading is up to 350 thousand for the younger version and up to 650 thousand for the older version. For random write, the maximum IOPS value is the same - 700K.
The drives are equipped with a cooling radiator with dimensions of 8 0.5 × 11.4 × 23.5 mm. Mean time between failures (MTBF) reaches 1.6 million hours.
It should be noted that the new items will also be offered in modifications with a more efficient cooling system, consisting of a radiator and heat pipes. There is no information about the estimated price yet.
