Last week, ASUS introduced 13 motherboards based on the older Intel Z590 chipset for the new Rocket Lake-S processors. Some of the new products related to the TUF and ROG Strix series will go on sale in the coming days, but the premium models of the ROG
Maximus XIII series are still in development. You should not expect them to appear on sale until the end of Februaryt the disposal of the VideoCardz resource were advertising materials describing the models of motherboards ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial, ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus XIII Extreme, and ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus XIII Hero. As you would expect, all the new items are distinguished by the use of only premium components, extensive sets of the latest interfaces, including Thunderbolt 4
and PCIe 4.0, as well as equipped with the latest Realtek ALC4082 SupremeFX sound subsystems and, of course, a very high cost. The most "affordable" board of the Maximus XIII series is estimated by the manufacturer at 500 euros, and for the most expensive (Extreme Glacial model) you will have to pay
It should also be noted that Extreme models will be able to offer up to five M.2 slots for NVMe drives, two of which are implemented through a proprietary DIMM.2 expansion card, and the rest of the Maximus XIII models received four M.2 slots. Moreover, in both cases, two M.2 slots have support for the PCIe 4.0 interface. In addition, all ASUS Z590 ROG Maximus XIII motherboards are equipped with enhanced VRM power subsystems and are ready to provide stable CPU overclocking and can work with DDR4-5333 MHz or higher RAM.
Feature of the flagship model ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial (pictured above) is the pre-installed LSS water block from EK Water Blocks. The board offers very wide possibilities for building a very efficient PC cooling system and is equipped with six 4-pin fan headers.
