'Big Sky', 'Love, Victor', '24', 'Lost' and 'Desperate Housewives' are part of the programs that will be added to the Disney Plus programming in February, however, only Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Canada will be able to enjoy them.
Joining the list of love month releases are 'How I Met Your Mother', 'Prison Break', 'The X Files', 'Black-Ish', 'Atlanta' and the entire 'Die Hard' franchise.
New proposals for an older audience
Surely, many will think that these titles are not exactly what would be expected from Disney, but let us remember that these productions reach the streaming platform of the mouse company through the licensing agreements that already exist with other services in certain territories.
As we have always let it be known, Disney seems to rule the world, even what they did not think was within the agreements of the company. However, Disney Plus will not be the only one to, for example, deploy 'Lost' since the rights to the series in the United Kingdom are in the hands of Amazon Prime.
In the case of 'Lost', according to what Variety claims, it will be available on Amazon Prime even after it falls into the hands of Star, the new Asian brand that Disney gave life as an equivalent to Hulu, but in the Asian continent.
The new series will be added to Disney Plus on February 23, the same date that Star will be available to become the sixth brand to join the service that already has Marvel Studios, Pixar, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
Hopefully, Star's arrival will double the content on Disney Plus and feature studio titles like Disney Television Studios, FX, 20th Century Studios, and 20th Television. The strategy behind its inclusion is to reach a more adult and avant-garde audience, fulfilling the promise of the mouse company to make a platform for everyone in the family.
