Fortunately or unfortunately, the game's popularity has skyrocketed since its announcement on the Nintendo Switch. It all started with a tweet from the Nintendo Life resource, in which users began to speak sharply negatively about the sexualization of women in the game world. Some decided to send death threats to the creators of the title.
The backlash was so strong that Top Hat Games had to issue a statement on January 1 that the game would not be censored in any way. They believe that developers should have creative freedom, and that selfish pseudo-defenders should stop using the false territory to argue their views. Moreover, the game has an adult rating.
Already on January 3, the studio published a whole thread so that its words about death threats were not groundless. There, users offer the creators of the game a lobotomy, ask them to commit suicide and are accused of promoting pornography.
We originally did not want to make this post, as to not accidentally incite a search for these posters and cause further fights. However, as there are now industry-adjacent people slandering/gaslighting us as liars, we've compiled a sampling from twitter, FB, and email. (1/5) pic.twitter.com/TJlNS4tWTd
