Remedy Entertainment has revealed the details of how the action game Control: Ultimate Edition will work on Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5. 4K resolution should not be expected in either mode.
Control: Ultimate Edition will offer two modes of operation on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5: 30fps with ray tracing (including transparency and reflections) at 1440p; and 60 fps at 1440p (no ray tracing).
On the Xbox Series S, things are a little different. Control: Ultimate Edition on this console will offer only one mode of operation - with a target frame rate of 60 frames per second and a resolution of 900p, without ray tracing. “This is a console limitation, not a game,” added Remedy Entertainment.
On the PlayStation 5, the game will also offer several unique features. Control: Ultimate Edition will support special vibration and trigger recoil, as well as activity cards and cutscenes to guide you through the story.
The Control: Ultimate Edition includes, in addition to improvements for new consoles, all released add-ons. The project will go on digital sale on February 2 on Xbox Series X, Series S, and PlayStation 5. Recall that in February the game will go to PlayStation Plus subscribers for free, along with Destruction AllStars and Concrete Genie.
