Cyberpunk 2077 players noticed the child models in CD Projekt RED. It turned out that children are just smaller versions of adults. Looks creepy enough.
Why this happened is officially unknown. Perhaps this is a bug that will be fixed in the next patch. Although gamers tend to think that Polish developers simply did not have enough time and made it easier for themselves. Instead of detailed elaboration, the studio simply shrunk the adults.
To be fair, in the comments, we noted that the developers from CDPR did not go down to the level of Assassin's Creed Valhalla. In Ubisoft, kids have bulging eyes and a beard.
The second major patch for Cyberpunk 2077 is due out this month. The release of another one is scheduled for February. By then, the game should work better on older consoles and should have eliminated most of the critical bugs.
The game is currently not available for purchase from the PS Store, with Sony and Microsoft offering refunds to anyone disappointed with the quality. In the meantime, CD Projekt RED is planning a free DLC release in early 2021.
