On Friday, CD Projekt RED released the first major patch for Cyberpunk 2077, which was supposed to fix at least several dozen technical issues with the game. A little later, the players found out that the update brings a new problem that interferes with progress in the story.
The patch was supposed to close a problem with one of the missions ("Old Friends") when Takemura did not call and this interfered with the progress of the story. Now, during the call, the character is simply silent. The developers noted that they were aware of the bug and advised to use the following trick until the hotfix is released:
- Load the save file created before V and Takemura leave Wakako's office
- Immediately after leaving the office, you need to end the conversation with Takemura
- After the end of the conversation and the update of the task, skip 23 hours, after which the dialogue should appear
Whether this is a working method is not yet clear. The players themselves have found an alternative way - before calling Takemura, you need to type any other character, complete a number of side quests and wait a few in-game days.
Cyberpunk 2077 will receive the next major update in February.
