Call of Duty: Warzone streamers manipulate matchmaking system to get into the rookie lobby

Ever since the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the community has been discussing skill-based matchmaking. This also applies to Call of Duty: Warzone, the automatic balance of which allows each gamer to play with people of about his level. However, some streamers decided and YouTubers decided that their status as local celebrities allowed them to be superior to everyone else. Some players have accused streamers of manipulating the matchmaking system. Ostensibly, they do this in order to get into the lobby for low-level players, significantly increasing their chances of winning.

This discovery was made possible thanks to the Warzone companion app, which many players use to cheat. By displaying the characteristics of players within individual lobbies, players are able to determine their chances of winning while avoiding lobbies with players of comparable level. Considering the existence of reverse boosting, the problem is obvious.

YouTuber Drift0r claims there is an alternative method of manipulating matchmaking. He did not explain how it works, but he says the method allows you to get into low-level lobbies in 2 out of 3 cases.

The gamer claims to have repeatedly seen top players in the low-level lobby. And given the frequency of such cases, it becomes obvious that these gamers are exploiting an unknown factor in the matchmaking process, but Activision or the developers have not yet responded to the information.

Meanwhile, Call of Duty fans used several sites to analyze the lobby, revealing shocking data: several record-breaking players also found themselves in matches against players whose level was significantly lower. This may be just an accident, but considering all the factors, it seems as if someone is controlling the whole process. After all, the more streamers win, the more attention they get. And the more attention, the more donations and money from sponsors.
