ASUS has announced a new laptop running Chrome OS: the Chromebook CX9 is unveiled at CES 2021, which is taking place in full digital format this year.
The device is housed in a ruggedized housing that meets US MIL-STD 810H. The 14-inch IPS display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD). The claimed 100% coverage of the sRGB color space.
The maximum configuration assumes the presence of a Tiger Lake generation Intel Core i7-1185G7 processor. The chip contains four processing cores (eight threads) clocked at up to 4.8 GHz. Graphics processing is occupied by the Intel Iris Xe accelerator.
The Chromebook carries up to 16 GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Supports up to two M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 SSDs up to 2TB each.
The arsenal of new items - two Thunderbolt 4 interfaces, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports, HDMI 2.0b, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, microSD slot.
Among others, it is worth highlighting a Wi-Fi 6 adapter, a backlit keyboard, a Harman / Kardon audio system, a 720p webcam and a fingerprint scanner. Dimensions are 322.2 × 204.9 × 16 mm, weight - 1.05 kg.
