ASRock posted a video on Facebook that poked fun at two motherboard manufacturers who were "too inspired" by its super-premium X570 Aqua design.
The $ 1000 ASRock X570 Aqua is a special limited edition enthusiast motherboard based on AMD 500 series logic chip. This motherboard was unique for many reasons, including being the first from ASRock to feature a water cooling all-in-one. Also in it, the manufacturer abandoned the brownish Taichi design in favor of a black and silver design.
At CES 2021, ASUS and MSI unveiled their own ultra-high-end motherboards based on the Intel Z590 chipset. ROG Maximus XIII Extreme Glacial is a flagship motherboard from ASUS priced at € 1,516, featuring an EK waterblock and an OLED display (which the Aqua lacks). There is also a flagship motherboard based on the Z590 from MSI - the Z590 Godlike. This E-ATX board does not have a waterblock, but the design of the heatsink is clearly inspired by such solutions. On the European market, the board will cost at least € 999.
ASRock quickly noticed how similar the new motherboards from ASUS and MSI were and from whom they could have borrowed the idea. “It was boring for a while. We are glad to see someone finally in the game after two generations, ”wrote ASRock, tagging competing companies, their products and adding a few additional ones:“ Thank you, ”“ We will continue to add innovations, ”“ Welcome to the catch-up.”

Production of ASRock X570 Aqua was limited to 1000 copies - it is believed that copy # 1 went to AMD CEO Lisa Su.
