A recent survey found that most Apple TV+ users who have a free trial do not plan to renew their subscriptions after expiration. According to MoffetNathan’s fourth-quarter SVOD tracking report, in the fourth quarter of 2020, 62% of Apple TV+ are still in the trial phase, and data shows that most users have no plans to renew after the trial expires or are not sure whether they will renew.
According to the data, 30% of users said they plan to renew, 29% of users said they did not plan to renew, and the rest said they were unsure. These data lag far behind Apple TV+'s other competitors. The same survey shows that only 16% of Disney+ users are in the promotion plan. Among them, 48% said they would re-subscribe, and only 19% said they would not subscribe.
According to "Variety Show", a problem with Apple TV+ may be its insufficient content compared with other platforms. The service provides a total of 55 original works, while other video-on-demand services provide thousands of works. Apple has not disclosed the number of users of Apple TV+.
