Optimize safely and quickly with these steps
With the passage of time it is normal for our Mac to accumulate a large amount of information and files, so the storage of the equipment is increasingly full.
In this case, if you know that you have been using the device for a long time and you have not done any type of cleaning, it is best that you do it and free up some memory on the Mac.
How can I clean the storage on my Mac?
If you do not know this process, in that case here we will show you a way to quickly and easily optimize your device, so pay attention to this step by step.
In this case, what you will do is a "Spring Cleaning" of Mac, and to do it you have to enter the Storage Management application.
You can do it using Spotlight, that is, using the command-space and also clicking on the Apple logo located at the top left of the menu.
Select the About this Mac option and then the Storage tab, and then click on Manage.
Now touch the Recommendations option and you will see another series of options such as Store in iCloud and Empty the trash automatically. Also the Optimize option which is what will remove items like old programs that you have already seen and old email attachments when you have storage space.
Applications and documents
When using Storage Management, click the Applications tab in the left column.
You will see all the installed apps and you can organize them by size to eliminate the ones you don't use.
Now click on Documents which is on the left tab. You will see various sections such as Large Files and Unsupported Applications.
You may find old files and documents, or apps that no longer work on your version of macOS that you can safely delete.
