While we wait for the final launch, little by little new data is leaking and with it the specifications of the Rocket Lake-S are looking better and better.
In a few weeks is CES, the date on which Intel will present the new generation of its Intel Core. From the Rocket Lake-S, the specifications of three models and the performance of a quarter have been leaked.
Intel Rocket Lake-S, General Specifications
The CPUs of the Rocket Lake S family will be compatible with Intel's LGA 1200 socket, by which it will be possible to mount these processors on motherboards with the Z490 chipset, which are designed for the tenth generation, it must be added that some motherboards Z490 chipped dock have support for PCI Express 4.0 only through Rocket Lake-S

The Intel Core i9-11900 is a processor that at the moment is in the BETA ES period, said CPU operates at a base clock speed of 1.8 GHz and a Boost speed of 4.5 GHz using a single core and 4 GHz in the case the boost occurs on all cores. While this pre-release version has the same clock speed as the ES1 "Q1VJ" and ES2 variants, the new version fixes some of the bugs of the previous versions and keeps the clock speeds more simple and stable.
The processor is also fully compatible with the PCI Espress 4.0 interface, being fully compatible with the B560 chipset, which gives it XMP overclocking compatibility .

The third chip of the Rocket Lake that has been leaked is the 11700, which like the other three continues under the name ES1 "QV1J", which indicates that although it is a chip for production, it is not yet for mass production.
The base clock speed of this chip is 1.8 GHz base clock speed, it can reach 4.4 GHz by boosting with a single core and 3.8 GHz in all cores. Apparently it is the one that is least finished of the three, since it cannot make use of PCIe 4.0 and the clock speed is fixed at 2133 MHz without the possibility of raising said speed further up.
Intel Core i9-11900K vs AMD Ryzen 7 5800X in benchmarks
In addition to the specifications of the three Intel Rocket Lake models described above, comparative benchmarks between the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X and the Intel Core i9-11900 have also been leaked.
Both chips were put to the test in various single-threaded tests such as Cinebench R23, CPU-Z, Cinebenench R20 and you can see how Intel's processor pulls out a bit more performance than AMD's.
