Disney and Pixar prepare a series of the universe of 'Cars'

Yesterday Disney went around the world with its announcements for Disney Plus, including letting it be known that the mouse company is working on a series of the 'Cars' universe.

While some might consider all of this to be simply unnecessary, especially since the third part of the franchise unfolded a plot that many describe as forced, Disney Plus doesn't give up on its classic Pixar characters.

From the production the central plot is unknown, but, as the company let it be known at its event for investors, the series will focus on Lightning McQueen and Mate, as the two go on a road trip to tour the country.

The series will premiere in the fall of 2022 and it has been confirmed that we will meet new characters. As for the cast, we hope that the original voices will return to bring the funniest cars of Radiadores Spring to life.

Knowing if this is a nod to the probability of a fourth movie at the box office is next to impossible. However, Disney's strategy may be clear.

By releasing this series in 2022, the company could collect opinions and needs. That is, if the audience gets in their hearts a space for more productions of the franchise, perhaps Disney will consider releasing another film with Cruz Ramírez as the new member of the Rusteze family.

Obviously we consider these Disney commercials to be a bittersweet sentiment. We love to know everything new that is on the way, but we have great expectations knowing that we must wait until the 2022-2023 season for many.

We hope that the company will take pity on us and that throughout 2021 they will reveal an occasional preview of each of the productions that Disney and Pixar are up to.
